Note for new visitors to this site. Everything we stock is for 1/24th scale (or 1/25th scale where marked) plastic or resin construction kits ONLY. Sorry, but we do not cater for ANY diecast scales or 1/32nd plastic, or the larger Mongram 1/16th or any of the RC scales.

We can accept payments by Cash, Cheque, Postal Order, Credit & Debit cards, Giro & International Money Orders.

At the end of this section you will find an order form, this may be printed off, filled in manually, & either posted, scanned & e mailed, or faxed to us. We will also accept orders in a straight forward e mail, letter, & over the telephone for credit/debit card payments. Remember, please write clearly & always include your name & address on all orders & e mails.

Credit/Debit Cards;- We are requested by the credit card industry to point out that our e mail address is not a secure one for the purposes of card data transmission. Any such card data sent by e mail is entirely at the senders risk. KFS accept no resonsibility what so ever for any intercepted & fraudulently used card data. If you do insist on providing data this way we strongly reccomend that as a minimum precaution it be split over several mails.

Any card data sent by e mail is immediately noted for that transaction only & is then destroyed. We NEVER store your credit/debit card details on computer, and only on paper for as long as is required by law & the card companies guidelines.

Bank Transfers;- We also accept bank to bank transfers from anywhere in the world including inland UK. If you wish to pay using this method please e mail your order list to us, we will price it, measure it & weigh it for shipping & then give you the total for transfer along with the required details. Please see further details on international transfers below.

UK Cheques & Postal Orders;- All payments by cheque or postal order must be made payable to H.A.Whitehead only please. Cheques must have your name, address plus your bank card number on the back. We reserve the right to return incorrectly filled cheques or postal orders. Please do not make cheques & postal orders payable to Kit Form Services as this account is held for commission model work rather than after market parts.

Credit & Debit Cards;- We accept most major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Eurocard, JCB, Maestro & Switch cards. We do not accept American Express.

When filling in order forms or sending card data;- Remember to include your c/card expiry date & the 3 digit code from the back of the card in all cases. The issue number for Switch cards & the valid from date for Bank of Scotland & Maestro cards. You must also include the post code & house number of the address the card is registered to. Please note that due to heavy credit card company charges we apply a 5% surcharge to the total (including postage) price of all credit card orders. This does not apply however to Maestro, Switch & Visa Delta debit cards. NOTE;- Debit cards used internationally are treated as credit cards & are surcharged @ 5%.

To order & make payments from outside the UK & EU (i.e USA, Canada, Australia, NZ, Norway, Switzerland)

Payments;- can be made by credit card or bank to bank transfer. Please see the general information at the top of the page.

VAT Discount;- For all goods being exported outside of the European Union (EU) group of countries we 'can' deduct the UK VAT tax which is currently 20%. For example, the USA, Canada, South America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Japan, Taiwan, Norway, Switzerland....anywhere not part of the EU in fact.

The prices given on the website are UK Pounds Sterling & include the current rate of UK VAT. We have to provide UK Customs & Excise with evidence of export & therefore will raise a printed invoice to that effect. All we ask in return for providing ex-vat discount is that your order must be at least £25.00 list price, not including shipping.

Example 1;- Your parts order comes to say £25.00 GBP. Take a calculator & punch in 25.00, then press 'divide' followed by 1.20 = you should now have a figure of 20.83, so £20.83 is the ex-vat price you would pay for export outside the EU.

Example 2;- Your parts order comes to say £120.00 GBP. Take a calculator & punch in 120.00, then press 'divide' followed by 1.20 = you should now have a figure of 100, so £100.00 is the ex-vat price you would pay for export outside the EU.

If in any doubt at all just e mail your parts list & we`ll give you an approximate total bill in your currency. NOTE;- Debit cards used internationally are treated as credit cards & are surcharged @ 5%.

This method of payment is also accepted from all countries & we can provide transfer details on request. However, please note that ALL bank charges MUST be paid by the payee (the customer). Please ensure your bank understands that YOU pay ALL bank charges for the transfer & the amount to arrive on OUR account is the FULL amount of the order including shipping. Before making an international transfer PLEASE read the small print on your banks application forms. (Especially Australian customers) Some banks will transfer the payment through an intermediary bank before it reaches our account. The intermediary bank will often make its own charge on top of what you may have already paid to your bank. As much as £15.00 in some cases. This shortfall will then need to be settled before the goods are despatched. It is therefore often the case that a credit card payment ends up cheaper than a transfer.

We DO NOT accept US Dollars cheques or cash, Euro cheques or cash, or any other non GBP cheques or cash currency. We do not barter or swap kits or other goods for parts.

International Money Orders & Giro;- These are also accepted but MUST be in UK pounds, We DO NOT accept IMO's, Giro, postal orders, bankers drafts or personal cheques in any other currency than UK pounds (GBP)

Now that Royal Mail have been de-regulated, they have increased their postal rates both for UK & overseas destinations considerably, both in 2012 & again in 2013. A second round of big postal price increase takes effect from 2nd April 2013.

1) If paying by credit / debit card, either from inside the UK or anywhere overseas we will charge postage only at the cost price. This is because we get chance to weigh the package & charge accordingly before booking out your order. Therefore the shipping charge box on any order form used may be left blank. (If you need to know a shipping charge in advance, then please feel free to enquire what the shipping charge may be for any particular item, or order, either by telephone or e mail) NOTE;- Debit cards used internationally are treated as credit cards & are surcharged @ 5%.

2) If paying by cheque from inside the UK. This is the most difficult to guess in advance without knowing what your order may contain, its value, its physical package size & especially its weight. But as a general guide;-

We will always try to keep the postage rates to a minimum & will often return a credit note for `spare postage` if you have paid too much p/p by cheque. This can then be used at any time with any future order.

3) If paying by bank transfer, then as with a credit / debit card we can make up your order, weigh it & give you an accurate shipping price to include with the total before the transfer takes place.(See notes on international transfers above, especially for Australian customers)

4) Package weights (international). This is important for overseas customers. The maximum weight for Royal Mail 'Small Packet Rate' is 2kg. If any order exceeds 2kg, we reserve the right to ship it as 2 packages or ship it by Parcel Force Worldwide at cost price, whichever is the more cost effective for you, the customer.

NOTE; We reserve the right to charge shipping on all orders at actual cost price. If you need to know the shipping costs in advance, please feel free to e mail your order list through for a shipping quote prior to ordering.

5) Package dimensions (international). This is important for overseas customers. The maximum combined dimensions (height+width+length) for any 'Small Packet Rate' parcel is 90cm. We reserve the right to split an order & ship it as 2 package or send it as 1 package by Parcel Force Worldwide, which ever is the most cost effective for you, the customer.

All international packages with a total value of LESS than £100.00 are normally sent by NON RECORDED delivery & do not have tracking numbers or insurance. It is the customers responsibilty to ask for insured 'International Signed For' (ISF) service on orders UNDER £100.00 value if a tracking number is required.

If you do not, then we are not held responsible for delay, loss, or damage. If you require ISF on an order under £100.00 the cost of the service will be added to your bill total.

All international packages with a total order value of MORE than £100.00 are automatically sent by International Signed For with insurance. The cost of this service is added to your bill total. It is the responsibility of the customer to ask for this service NOT to be used if you so wish. But if you do opt out of ISF then there is no tracking number, no insurance & no claim if it is delayed, lost or damaged.

What does ISF cost? This is an additional cost on top of your standard airmail cost. It costs £5.30 for tracking & insurance up to £50.00 value, or a further £7.90 for insurance up to £500.00 value.

New information 17/8/12. With immediate effect Royal Mail will no longer deliver International Signed For (ISF) packages to PO Boxes. Customers wishing to use PO Box addresses must either accept full responsibility for lost, delayed or damaged articles (i.e no tracking & no insurance)...or...accept the use of Royal Mails slightly more expensive Airsure service which is tracked & insured to the point of delivery to the PO Box only. (NB Airsure is available only to certain countries. Please e mail for details or see the UKs Royal Mail website)

We aim to process your order on the same day it arrives & within two days at most if at all possible. Where parts are out of stock for a matter of a few days we will hold your order until it can be dispatched complete. Where parts are out of stock for a longer term (i.e. whilst waiting for stock order to arrive from our casters or from overseas) we will send the parts that are in stock with a note informing you of the current back order situation. Those parts will then follow immediately they arrive back in stock with shipping paid at our cost. Orders are sent by first class Royal Mail where rates & weights allow. Overseas orders are sent by airmail only. Please be as patient as you can.....KFS is a one man operated outfit!
